Active citizens of Slavutych were trained by the NGO OUM

On March 13-15, 2018, the facilitators of the NGO OUM held a free training course under the British Council program “Active Citizens” at the office of the Public Utility “Agency for Regional Development” of the Slavutych City Council. The training was attended by active citizens of Slavutych, representatives from institutions of education, culture, sports, media, public activists.

The training participants learned how to promote social changes and ensure sustainable development in their community through the special prepared exercises.

The last day of the training was devoted to the development of social projects that can be implemented in Slavutych. All the projects will be considered and some of them will be selected for funding.

The training was carried out with the assistance of the Public Utility “Agency of Regional Development” of the Slavutych City Council.

For reference. “Active Citizens” is a program of the British Council for youth in the field of intercultural dialogue and social development. “Active Citizens” was launched in 2009 and has run in over 40 countries in the Middle East and North Africa, Europe, South and East Asia, North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa and the UK.
