In July, the number of learners registered on vumonline.ua — Ukraine’s first online platform for civic education — surpassed 300,000.
This means that since the platform’s launch in October 2015, 300,000 fellow Ukrainians have chosen to become more competent and more capable of driving change as citizens of their country.
Is that a lot, or not so much?
Compared with traditional education, that’s roughly the same number of people currently studying across all faculties of the University of Buenos Aires combined. On a national scale, imagine every resident of a city like Cherkasy signing up for one or more of our courses.
Today, just as at the very beginning, we believe that learning is always timely — and that revolutions are better made in people’s minds than in the streets. That’s why every single learner matters to us, and the more of them there are, the faster we move toward change.
We thank the Armed Forces of Ukraine for making it possible for us to keep moving forward! Thank you to all our instructors, founders, and learners!
Our next goal — 500,000!
