The new course at the vumonline.ua platform will introduce attendees to the seven components of a healthy library, including space, books, events, equipment, communities, communication, and partnerships.
It is designed for local self-government bodies’ officers, public activists, educators, and medical workers – who promote a healthy lifestyle and dream of improving the health of community residents through prevention. First, it will be useful for librarians who care about the community and are open to new forms and work methods.
The course was developed as part of the “Healthy Libraries” project, which is implemented by the “Library Country” Charitable Foundation within the framework of the Ukrainian-Swiss project “Reducing the Prevalence of Risk Factors for Non-Communicable Diseases in Ukraine” (abbreviated as “Let’s Act for Health”).
The course’s educational load is 0.5 ECTS credits.
The project is implemented with the support of Switzerland, which is provided through the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
