This course is for those ready to learn and improve as a teacher and mentor. It will help to understand better the psychology and physiology of children from birth to 18 years of age and to properly build relationships with children by their age, needs, and capabilities.
The course will be of interest to teachers and educators, social workers, public activists, and volunteers whose work is related to children; and parents who feel the need to improve relationships with children at any stage of their development.
During the course, you will get basic knowledge about the psychophysiological development of children, the rights of the child, and the competencies of parents. You will also will:
– learn how to communicate with children of different ages;
– get a better understanding of the processes of child development;
– learn to choose methods/options for responding to the child’s behavior.
The course is equivalent to 0.5 ECTS credits.
